Hi Christopher,

I noticed you mentioned your love for DonQ Rum. First, I'm so happy to know that you enjoy the product AND that it's available in your hometown of Asheville. I wanted to reach out to you to see if you'd be interested in reviewing a new spiced rum from the same distillery that produces DonQ in Puerto Rico- Destilería Serrallés. BlackBeard Spiced Rum is sort of the brother of DonQ- an entity on its own, but made with the same experienced and trusted hands.

BlackBeard boasts deep rich vanilla and caramel aromas with high notes of oak. At first sip, aggressive vanilla, caramel and secret spices mingle with the soft aged Puerto Rican rum, coating the palate to prepare it for the 86 proof bite as the rum sails through the mouth.

If you'd like to sample BlackBeard, I'd be glad to ship a bottle. Unfortunately, the email for the site seems to be down, but I'd be glad to send more information to a working address.

Cheers,
Marisa

Oh man, the reeking oil. I know the smell, and I can't say that I am fond of it. I almost was tempted to freeze the house out by opening the kitchen door to air it out, but I suffered through the ordeal. When spring time comes, we're going to need to BBQ it up and use the Bourbon glaze in proper fashion.
