Blood bank shortages kill tons of people all the time. Spread the word about paid plasma donation and giving blood and we all benefit. You never know when YOU might need blood.

Oh man, the reeking oil. I know the smell, and I can't say that I am fond of it. I almost was tempted to freeze the house out by opening the kitchen door to air it out, but I suffered through the ordeal. When spring time comes, we're going to need to BBQ it up and use the Bourbon glaze in proper fashion.

I tried the batter with some chicken last night and it was quite tasty. the only downside is that my house now reeks of used oil. I need a fry daddy.

I'm really excited for an Old-Fashioned with those citrus and/or maple bitters. I feel the maple would lend itself nicely to the Old-fashioned to enhance the simple syrup.

I applaud you sir and am humbled greatly by the mention of my name in regards to the proper way to make an Old-Fashined. I have one quibble though; my last name is spelled Heyes. No Worries though, it's a really easy mistake to make. Either way, I really love this blog and I shall patronize it religiously.

Indeed, the sophisticated elite does happen to know how to THROW DOWN from time to time, eh? I'm no liquor snob... I just know what I like, and my favorites are as wide and varied as the fish that pepper our oceans.

Thanks for joining the CULTURE OF SPIRITS staff for a fine evening of tasting, Mr. Oakley! You're highly esteemed, and have excellent taste in hats, as well as liqueurs.

This particular meeting of Oakley and Hanks was most enjoyable for myself and the entourage that accompanied me. The selection of liquor and liqueur selection was most impressive and has inspired me to begin to collect and build my own bar as well as begin a fine cigar collection. Perhaps next time it will be my house as opposed to yours my friend.
